TPM Salutes Marjorie Rifkin – the 2021 Recipient of the American Bar Association’s Paul G. Hearne Award for Disability Rights

We send our hearty congratulations to our colleague Marjorie Rifkin who received the American Bar Association’s 2021 Paul G. Hearne Award for Disability Rights at a virtual ceremony on February 19, 2021.  A link to the announcement of Marjorie’s award is here.

Marjorie joined our firm in 2020 to continue her work as co-counsel with TPM, AARP Foundation Litigation, and Disability Rights DC at University Legal Services, in the Brown v. District of Columbia class action brought by nursing facility residents seeking to transition to the community with DC Medicaid long-term care under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  More information about Brown v.
